Shock, shock, shock.

Had to make a grovelling apology today for completely forgetting to go to an important teaching session last night. Felt even more guilty for putting this poor woman out as she was so nice about it... I have to do detention* next week to make up for it....

Caught up with some of the exam candidates today. General consensus is that it was bloody hard (seems the be the feeling every year). One of them had a similar experience to what I had last year... getting horrendous gastro and spending a day in hospital getting litres and litres of IV rehydration... the day before the exam... awful... poor guy.

J is in Sydney tonight. Had a wander round the city after leaving work late. We have a print by an Aussie photographer Matt Irwin hanging on the wall at home that is a little similar to tonight's photo - of the same shop and cafe at the Spring St end of Bourke St.

Oh, and how's this for a feel-good story?
