Trip to the Great Wall

Today we walked along a section of the Great Wall about a home and a half hours drive from Beijing. It's 6,000 km long and built to keep out China's many enemies over the centuries Incredible how it follows the contours of the mountains. This part of the wall was in condition having been renovated by the Chinese government but by walking at a fast pace we managed to reach the old ruined section that dates back to the Ming dynasty.
