Deck the balls

at Stroud's delightful Cornflower and Calico kitchen/interiors shop. I adore vintage kitchenalia, as well as tasteful Christmas displays (i.e. no Flashing Santas!) I have a feeling my sister TMLHereandThere would like this display too. Last time she came to Stroud, it was for such a short time that we never even managed a stroll-round.

We had a full-on day in nursery, and now I am relaxing while CleanSteve does dinner. At least, that is what I think he is doing. I still haven't got very far with my reading of Orwell's 1984, but uncannily I have discovered a handy little pamphlet entitled "Facts and Figures: The GDR 35 years on". The date on the front is, you guessed it, 1984. You'll probably see it here soon, so stand by for some riveting facts on Socialism and the Five-Year Plan.
