Scandanavian Sunrise
We were up ay 6.30am so we could get in some breakfast before the coach picked us up for the flight back home from Keflavick airport. Our seats were pre-booked and my wife is quite happy to let me have have the window seat. It was just as well, as shortly after take-off through the clouds I saw a glorious sunrise over Iceland.
It's their winter at the moment, and their days are quite short. In their summer the daylight is 24 hours.
I was lucky in a way as the cabin windows had not yet 'frozen' which tends to show lots of ice spots in the pictures. The blip photo shows the sun just as the plane rises to the top of the clouds.
