Lake Wanaka

Today we crossed the Haast Pass. The weather was horrible with horrendous rain and fog. Needless to say we didn't see the snow capped mountains, the glaciers, and the waterfalls. But to add to the drama, our little Nissan was low on petrol without a refueling station in sight. We made it over the mountain on fumes.

We are staying in a lovely B&B tonight and tomorrow near the Wanaka village and lake.

This morning, Gina got to feed a young lamb and share knitting 'stuff' with Trisha, our host.
