Church Spire

When travelling in the passenger seat of a car I always find myself glancing down side streets to see what the view is. Sometime nothing, sometimes an unusual view of familiary hill.

This time is it the church spire of St James built in 1845. Thankfully this church is still being used for the purpose intended when it was built.

Our town has many churches which have been converted to residential or even a gym in one case. At least they are still standing and the 19th century townscape is still visible.
