Tie Dyeing!

Last night my friends came over to my house and we tie dyed t-shirts for our Senior vs. Teacher volleyball game. My team is me, Katie, Megan, Lex, Jada, Zack, and Courtney. Our shirts are tie dyed blue and purple with a little bit of lime green. We also dyed socks and headbands to match our shirts. Each team is playing for a charity. My team is playing to give a charitable donation to a local day care. The seniors had to each pay $2 to play, and homerooms have folders for students to put donations in. Our other way of making money is by having students vote for faculty members to wear costumes as they play. There are two bacon costumes, one hot dog, and a hamburger. The top two seniors will have to wear a costume, and the top two faculty members will have to wear a costume. I think this was a really neat idea, and it seems to be liked by the students and faculty too, because some people have 52 votes already. Two of the kids in my class made commercials to promote the voting, and they were really funny! The money that is raised will go to the charity the winning team was playing for. The two seniors who are in the lead as of now are both on my team. This is definitely going to be interesting! It is always a fun day! We have been doing this for years, and it is always on the last day before Thanksgiving break.
