More "Space watching" - sorry.

As you may have noticed, I'm an inveterate pickerupperer of "things", often stray leaves even.
On the left, one I picked up a short time ago.
On the right, one I lifted within the last couple of days or so.
What I'm particularly interested in is whether or not the one on the right will "strike" since whoever knocked it off, and I STRESS I never d0, also damaged the base where I'd expect the roots to develop.
