Where Dragonflies Once Lurked

Basil and I hadn't been to Charnwood Water for a while. Today was the day.

It started raining almost as soon as we got there, but I was able to try out my new clear plastic sleeve to protect the camera and lens. Was very gratified when it worked, except that...on some of the photos there's a white splodge which I can explain only as water having seeped in somewhere.

Even the rushes have turned an autumnal colour, as seen here.
