It's raining, it's pouring!

Ella and I went out for a walk today in the rain. It had all been a bit of a saga really; first I didn't know it was raining until we went to try and find Ella's wellies in the car (by which time I'd said we were going for a walk so no chance of cancelling), then we spent at least half an hour looking for Ella's wellies which we're no where to be seen (later found out they were in Adams car....not impressed), so we went for a walk anyway in Ella's smart boots. She did very well at following the rules of no splashing in the puddles.
We had swimming this afternoon, Ella didn't do very well because she was so tired (she only has a 20 minute nap in the morning, and refused my attempts to get her to have more), so we spent must of the lesson just playing with toys. Hopefully things will be better next week. Al in all it's been a bit of a frustrating day, but I've made curry for tea, the chimney has been swept so we can have our first fire of the winter and have a beer in hand....things are looking up :)
