The light of dawn

Over the summer I took a month long trip to Indonesia with my friend and his family. In the second week his dad told us to pack our stuff because we were going to see the dragons, the komodo dragons that is. We arrived at our home for the next two days and were a little disappointed when it wasn't the 3 million pound yacht but the canal boat next door. I know that sounded snobbish but when there is no door on the toilet and your trying to, well you know you get a little nervous if you know what I mean. But this lack of privacy was the reason I got this shot. When I woke up in the morning ,after a night spent watching the boundless sky float by uninterrupted except for the occasional shooting star, I was the only one up and so decided to go for a sneaky sea wee. This was the view that awaited me and has never left me since.
