Early sunshine

Today started off in a great way with bright sunshine and cool crisp temperatures. Unfortunately this was not to last. By mid day a damp, dreary day set in and we were grateful for the cheerful start.

Walking locally in this part of the world is quite different from in England. There are no rights of way like there are in England. Consequently most of my walks are on the road. Furthermore, I have to walk so far and then turn back. It is difficult to do a circular tour without going much further than I have time for each day ( not to mention my reduced ability to walk long distances these days).
