To bee or not to bee!

Revisiting the hives today, I was upset to see so many dead bees at the entrance/exit to this particular hive. Most of the other hives had just a few fatalities, but this one had rather worrying numbers.

It's not unusaul to have dead bees at the entrance to the hive, as the brood tends to clear them out on a regular basis, but with this protective mesh, they tend to get caught-up rather than pushed out, so it can appear to be more drastic then in reality.

Glad to see the other hives look a lot healthier though.
