Civets weren't doing anything interesting so...

After getting a lift to Ubud and wandering around a forest there with the lovely Carl Taylor, I heard they were giving out free coffee at a nearby plantation (Alam Bali), so thought I'd scoot over and give it a try.

Unfortunately the world-famous civet poo (yes, coffee derived from the faeces of the civet cat) was approximately £3 a cup but all eight other varieties were gratis and delicious. They had a couple of civets in cages to show people, which they apparently let out at night to eat the beans. Not so much was said for this guy though... I couldn't help but wonder why he's holed up there as he really doesn't have anything to do with coffee.
