One of the neighbours dropped by...

... to spend most of the afternoon loafing about, not very far from the back door.
Without seeing its head, I couldn't tell whether it was last year's blip snake or another.
A well-aimed squirt of water through the kitchen window achieved a raised head and a quizzical look, followed by a leisurely departure - to somewhere nearby... don't know where...

This was the best shot (yes, the others were even worse!) - I claim poor lighting and good camouflage (on the snake...) as my excuse.

Comparison with last year's blip snake indicates that this is a different neighbour.
Last year:
Copperhead.
This one:
Red-bellied black? Maybe.
(Yes, I know it's yellow - you just can't trust 'em, can you!)
I shall find out.
