My Saturday
Parks football - and not much time for anything else!
This is not one of my games today, but this is Melbourne Park where I spent half the afternoon.
I had my arm twisted by the League and rashly agreed to referee two games back to back today, five miles apart across the city.
The grounds were very heavy and sodden from the heavy overnight rain, but the pitches were playable.
The problem was just that running on them was like wading through treacle.
Tonight I am tuckered out, and have another match at 10.30 tomorrow morning. I must be a masochist!
Anyway the lads today were well -behaved, as were coaches and spectators, and I had a relatively easy time. Only one yellow card for a dodgy tackle.
Keeps me fit and off the street. Bodyweight down again tonight by 0.7 of a Kilo!
