Playgroup Art

A friend and I run our village playgroup. It's a pretty relaxed affair - we want the mums to be able to chat and eat cake while the children play! - so we don't provide too many structured activities. However, I do try and set up something arty/crafty/creative as an option each week. This usually involves a frantic trawl round Pinterest at 8am on a Friday (playgroup starts at 9:30!) followed by some hurried cutting out, gathering of materials, etc. This week Pinterest came up trumps and I found this great idea: I taped pens to a selection of Ted's vehicles. I then stuck a huge sheet of paper to one of the village hall tables and let the kids loose with it. It proved massively popular and the resulting 'artwork' was actually pretty cool! Ted wanted to carry on when we got home so we spent another 20 minutes adding to the colourful scrawl. Simple but really effective.
