One of life's great drifters...

Three beautiful things:

Goose barnacles - Lepas anatifera - I found out today that these are related to the crab and attach themselves to objects floating on oceanic currents. Apparently they are also somewhat of a delicacy! They were beautifully curious!

An afternoon walk on the beach with a friend collecting even more 'treasure' which needed the roof rack to get home!

Opening the door and being greeted by the smell of beef stew bubbling away in the slow cooker.
