Leaf-bread.

It's a tradition in north Iceland to make leaf-bread for Christmas.
Since I and my husband have our children living in Reykjavík and Copenhagen we decided to meet with his parents, sisters and their children and grandchildren to make the leaf bread this time.
My mother-in-law is making the leafs in this picture. The leaf bread is fried in a big pot. It's a very beautiful bread and a very beautiful tradition were the whole family spends time together decorating the bread.
