The Mountain Challenge

Today the ride took us up the mountain of the Topes de Collantes National Park. We were advised that only those who were very fit and experienced cyclists should attempt this as the bus couldn't stop to pick us up on the way - it was too steep. We took the bus for 14 K then got on the bikes for the last 11 k climb and that was enough.
Our hotel was at the top so in the afternoon we had a guided tour down a footpath to some waterfalls. Spectacular views.
