Leaves me cold and wet

Yet another miserable, grey day here in Houston. BB (Before Blipfoto), days like this never really bothered me. I would just stay in, keep warm and dry, watch movies, get caught up on Facebook and do the washing or something like that. Nowadays, however, I start to get antsy straight away. I struggle for ideas for indoor photographs, so with bad lighting or wet weather, I know the challenge will be on. So, needless to say, I’m really hoping for some sunny days in the near future.

Houston doesn’t really have much in the way of seasons – it’s mostly just summer and winter. We certainly don’t get a nice autumn/fall, and don’t have many trees that turn a lovely colour. So when our neighbour’s maple trees change suddenly, we have a gardenful of pretty leaves for about a week. Apparently this is the week and in the absence of any nice outdoor lighting, Leejohnaire and I both appear to have decided to blip those leaves, but in slightly different ways. I particularly liked the ripples around the points of this one as it floated quietly along in the pool… towards the skimmer… never to be seen again.
