Threave Castle

Not the usual picture postcard view of the castle .... that's on flickr and was taken before these canoeists disturbed the calm water.

An exploration of the Threave Estate today from the cottage. First we walked to the bird hide on an island in the River Dee then past Threave Castle which is on another island. The boats to cross to the castle don't operate in November.
