zipper

The eucalypts...those that shed great chunks of barks..must have put on weight and today I noticed many of them had long 'zippers' up their trunks.
The bark is splitting open along these lines...just like the bulging zip!

It reminds me of being a teenager in the 70s and wearing VERY tight jeans. So tight that to zip them up involved lying flat on the bed, sucking in the tum, inching up the zip and Voilà!...painted on denim.
