Pink Oleander
This pink Oleander is growing in my sister's garden where she has 3 different bushes of this hardy yet mildly "dangerous" plant.
It is an attractive evergreen shrub for warm climates, and produces heavily scented, colorful flowers all summer and into autumn.
It is very hardy, needs virtually no watering and is ideal for very dry backyards such as those found here in South Aussie. All parts of this plant are poisonous to humans and animals if ingested, and the plant's sap can cause skin irritation in some individuals.
Oleanders are so widely cultivated that no precise region of origin has been identified, though southwest Asia has been suggested.
