Another shadow selfie on the beach. That 5:2 diet's working wonders, look, I'm a lady giraffe.

For the last couple of months I've been diligently working my way through my cd collection in alphabetical order. I wanted to make myself listen to stuff that I haven't heard for ages. I kept meaning to blip about it... But I haven't. Not sure why. Not a deliberate not telling ... More of a forgetfulness in the busyness of any given day.

Anyway, today I have remembered and at a good point too. So, I've worked my way through A and B and am currently on C for Cash. I have a lot of Johnny Cash, so it's taken some getting through. American Recordings are particularly pleasing. Next C is C for Cat Power ... Though I'm wondering whether I should, in fact, have filed her under P... Gah. My cd collection is therefore only vaguely in alphabetical order... Still, the principle still stands ... I'm working my way through them all so I don't suppose it really matters. I noticed the Fleet Foxes aren't in order cos their cd cases are funny dimensions and won't quite fit in the shelves.

ANYWAY. This may become a regular part of the blip thing or I may forget again. But two songs from today embraced two other musical marvels and made me happy... So I leave you with Johnny Cash's cover of Solitary Man (I also have a soft spot for Neil Diamond... I can't help myself) and the cover of Mercy Seat (I'm not entirely sure what texture the spot I have for Nick Cave is... But it definitely isn't soft... He's terrifying...). Though Cave comes after Cat ... So there will be significant Cave action in the coming days.
