Autumn glories
No apologies for more autumn leaves as these were just too beautiful not to blip today.
Shot taken by the river in Ilkley, at the end of our walk.
That golden sunlight once again, accentuated the wonderful colours.
Although many of the trees are now bare, there are still some who's leaves have turned colour, and are hanging on to the bitter end. Trying to keep winter at bay.
The day started cloudy, and as we walked along the riverside to Addingham we could see the blue sky over in the west gradually creeping nearer.
Then up and over Middleton moor and a stop for lunch.
On our way back down to Ilkley the blue sky reached us and the sun shone.
After a cup of tea sat out side by the river. ( so mild I didn't have a coat on!)
We drove home as the sun was setting and the sky turned a gorgeous deep pink.
Now it's chilli con carne for tea and a nice glass of Rhone red.
We have had a lovely day, and enjoyed meeting up with our walking pals again.
Hope you have all had a good weekend too.
