The end of another week

Beautiful sunset after such a miserable grey day in the shire.

After I prepared the pheasants this morning and tidy round the house we were off. I did pick up the items I didn't get chance to yesterday. After popping to a couple of garden centres for festive ideas we popped to my parents. Dad had called and said there was a freshly made coffee cake and a pot of tea of offer if we fancied it. Silly question really tea and cake two of my favourite things.

When we arrived and eaten our cake mum had some bad news for me. Her eldest sister who is in her 80's has been ill for a couple of months but she had a stroke earlier this week and was admitted to hospital. She had another stroke in the night and is now in heart, kidney and liver failure. Very sad news indeed, mum is the youngest of 13 and because of her illness she has to avoid hospital etc. So she is very sad that she can not visit her in hospital. My mum and her siblings all live within a 2 miles radius of each other, and are very close. My mums eldest sister knows that my mum can't visit, her in hospital. I have said to mum that I'll visit her on your behalf if you wish and pass on your love, I know it's not the same but it was all I could really do.

My aunties prognosis is not good at all so all we can do I keep her in our thoughts while the doctors do what they can for her.
