What's that button for? at #Newark Air Museum

Last night's party host (Phil) is the electronics engineer on XH558 which is the last remaining airworthy Vulcan Bomber . Also on our table was Taff who is also on the Vulcan team.

This morning I saw XM594, another Vulcan, sadly no longer airworthy and spending its retirement at Newark Air Museum.

Courtesy of one of the museum volunteers, here I am in the pilot's seat of a Canberra B8 WV787 at the museum. It was a bit of a squeeze getting into the cockpit and must be even harder getting out in an emergency.

Now what is that button for? The one marked ejector seat!
