Shot in the dark?

I dashed off this lunchtime to take some shots for my husband?s website. He had some very specific (difficult ) requirements. One shot he particularly wanted was the flash from the gun barrel when it?s fired. With a little perseverance we got it. I still can?t get a crystal clear shot of a clay braking in mid-air which is somewhat annoying after two attempts. Any suggestion (or stock photos) I can try!
