the tree
when i was younger, i lived in ohio for about 7 years. that's the longest i've ever lived in one place. coming back to ohio this weekend, i visited the elementary school i attended. i still remember how to walk there from my house, though it seems a lot shorter now.
this is "the tree". it's made of metal, and you climb on it like a jungle gym. in elementary school, i spent most of my recesses on this tree (at least, the ones where i wasn't reading). they've updated the place a lot in the past 9 years, but the tree still stands.
having lived in 7 places in 19 years, i don't have much of a home. like blazar, my home is in my memories. it's in the way to school, the pieces of playground equipment - though rusty and paint-peeling - that still stand. these memories are home, sweet home.
