Muhammad Yunus

The day began early with a 9am tutorial on ecology and succession with Rich where we were first offered Krispy Kreme doughnuts - I shall not complain! It was an enjoyable tutorial and then I had a free day where I decided laundry needed to be done. Otherwise I just watched Netflix and relaxed!

I had a fantastic evening going to see Muhammad Yunus talk at the Oxford Union. He was such a great speaker and I was really interested in his work on microfinance for women in Bangladesh and how he has, through the Grameen Bank, helped alleviate poverty and improve living standards for many women and families in Bangladesh. Such an inspirational man.

Later on we went to Bridge for the Brasenose Ball Launch evening but my evening wasn't the greatest - I am not much of a fan of Bridge, it just felt like a corridor. Perhaps another time.
