Serengeti sunrise

Well, actually it's Strensall Common - with no herds of sheep sweeping majestically across the landscape this morning - but there is a sunrise and some frost and my favourite species of trees.

I've been a bit lacking in energy lately for reasons I needn't go into here, but this morning I managed to get up early enough to ride with my wife some her way to work, as she always does with me when I'm working and she's not. After we parted company, I took a circuitous route home including crossing Strensall Common.

No training squaddies there this morning - there are regular gun battles on Thursdays and Sundays, though. If anyone ever invades on any other day of the week, we're sunk!
