Seasonal….
I fiddled around with my new camera today, and was thrilled with the telephoto lens, but realized what some of the trade-offs are when I loaded my pictures into the computer. I took a lot of bird and squirrel pictures, but decided I need a little practice.
With Matt and his family arriving tomorrow, I spent a lot more time making a vase out of a pumpkin. OilMan thought I said I was carving a "face" and wondered why, or perhaps whose, but probably thought it best not to ask…bad enough that he suggested I make a pumpkin pie out of the mess of stringy, slimy stuff and seeds I pulled out.
I loved the cartoon my daughter-in-law published on Facebook of a busload of Turkeys headed for the Mexican border. When contemplating the logistics of four families, two houses, four teenagers, two little kids, and three dogs, I have fleeting thoughts of heading for the Mexican border myself, but somehow it always works out, and I love having the whole family together at least once a year.
