Highlight of the day

Early morning ferry trip to work and there are three highlights here: the sunrise on the windows - always a welcome sight, the new High Light (the left-hand white tower) and the old High Light (on the right). The theory is that the navigator gets the high light and the low light (not seen) in line and that way s/he doesn't smash the boat on the Black Midden rocks that await just to one side of the river. If you are wondering how the said navigator tells the difference between the new and the old high light, then the old one has its seaward wall painted black these days, and anyway you would just use satnav!
