Morning Frost

As part of a large scale art installation in an exhibition entitled 'War and Peace', I am making cast replicas of military boot and children's footwear.
Looking out of the window at the frost this morning made me think of the harsh conditions in the trenches and elsewhere...the appearance of these boots before the tissue paper cast is removed from them added to this...chilling.
