Over my dead body...

The last time I did any serious decorating I stained the beams in the dining room, a tall cathedral ceiling made the job quite tricky so I used some extra long folding steps. All went went until I'd finished and as I started to descend the steps - with still about 9 to go - they started to wobble badly - as in 'tip over'. No problem, I just jumped down to the carpet. Unfortunately I caught the half empty 5 litre tin of black beam stain on a step on the way down and it was whipped out of my hand and spun to the floor depositing 5 pints across the carpets and furniture. (Iknow, I know) To this day whenever I suggest I'll decorate something MrsDB say "Over my dead body".
