Course day 2.
Focus of the course today was on the concept of developing photography as a medium for communication - photojournalism, photographic essays, projects based on themes, etc. We were given some insight into the practical problems professional photographers can encounter, such as the difficulties of developing rapport with subjects ( this by way of a project we were given) and we "dissected" some photo-essays to see how they worked.
In the afternoon we went to the Tate Modern to try to take photos which could have meaning in the context of such an essay.
Does this photo seem to have a clear meaning in the context of a gallery?
