Pancakes and meltdowns

Today I took Olivier to have pancakes with the two Cs and the lovely little Tomeo. See, Olivier and I are doing the solo thing this week, as my mom went away for a well-deserved vacation. We did great most of the week, but I hadn't spoken to anyone (aside from Oli of course) since Tuesday) so was really looking forward to the conversation, but neither Oli or I had slept well. So he didn't have fun, at all, there was lots of crying. And I really have to get used to the simple fact that babies do cry, instead of feeling like a bad mom when I can't automatically make it all better.

We came home, hung out in his nursery, looked at some pictures while he was crying and he calmed down. And then we slept, and all was good again!
