...And Where is Home?

I often wonder
what is 'home' to others and
is dinner ready?

We look for the "Wagon Man" whenever we are near Fortuna Road. He is always around with his wagon. I wonder where he spends the night. We have cool evenings and nights now. It's about 12 degrees Celsius overnight. Here he is on the west side of Fortuna in late afternoon. Here he is last season.

On the highway we often see the farm workers who are brought in each day from Mexico to work the fields around Yuma. This is the winter lettuce capital of the country. Lots of other vegetables are grown here too. This bus load is heading towards the Mexican border at the end of the work day. It's a long day for these people. Notice the latrines on the trailer pulled behind this re-purposed school bus. I wonder what home is for these folks too. Can they make a decent wage working the fields of Yuma? What's the future for them? Here is last season.
