Yule log...

This is my first attempt at making a Yule Log. I was quite pleased with the result. I made the roll at Cake Club at the Post Box Cafe in Chorlton and decorated it at home. Making the chocolate sponge was easy and decorating it was fun. The bit that terrified me was the rolling of the sponge into the log. I saw them making them on The Great British Bake Off a few weeks ago. Bakers far more experienced than me made a hash of it under the steely gaze of, sweet as a Victoria Sponge, Mary Berry. But I actually managed it. I am available for demonstrations...
