AUTUMN BABY

I have better pictures today, but not as interesting as this one. Grandkids S and W were over yesterday, and they and I did some playing in the back yard. W found this, that I believe is a baby newt. Those are her hands under the leaf. These kids will pick up anything. So it did crawl around in her bare hands for a while. Yes, she washed afterward.
Anyway, why would something this tiny be born this time of the year? Seems he will be frozen before long. Although, it is calm and probably 65 degrees this morning. Finished golf this morning in my tee shirt! Son Matt came along, so it was a great morning.
