Whenever low cloud and fog descends on the Island as it did for most of today I make a beeline for the nearest forest knowing that the conditions and light will be rather magical.

I spent a happy couple of hours squelching around the extremely soggy Combley Great Wood before calling in to the nearby Farm shop cafe for a well earned bacon roll.

I was going to process my images as mono but liked the subtle Autumn colour of the remaining leaves.
