I started work earlier than usual today and this afternoon I went to the cinema to see Mike Leigh's film Mr. Turner. I thought Timothy Spall was absolutely brilliant as Turner and I thoroughly enjoyed the film. I got so involved in the film, I felt slightly disorientated when I left the cinema in the dark!

It was a fairly long film and I had intended to go round to Greenwich Market after, as they were switching on the Christmas lights tonight. I missed the lantern parade and the 'grand switch on', but there were still a few stalls up and the band was still playing, though most people had left.
