Let there be lights........

And verily, as foretold, there was a second coming and the deep voiced elves were heard crying unto the Christmas fairy "these won't work!!!"
And in the morning there were indeed gaps amongst the Christmas lights and there was much muttering amongst the people about leaving things unto the last moment.
But, later on, there was mulled wine and hog roast, a Ferris wheel and much variety of stalls and soon the cast of "Cinderella" were heard to cry " let there be lights!" and there were lights (but not all of them).
There was singing and Oliver and his Nanna and the throngs of merrymakers were heard to shout "Oh no it isn't!!" many times unto the ugly sisters and there
was much rejoicing and great merriment and many doughnuts were consumed.
Alice had presented unto her a "Frozen" balloon and verily she did not "Let it go"


( I think I may have mixed my fairy/biblical/Disney metaphors somewhat :-) )
