Derelict Thursday - "THE OLD TOWER"

This Tower in East Renfrewshire was built in the second half of the 18th century and was believed to be used by ladies to spectate hare coursing, a popular sport of the time with dogs chasing hares across the fields.
It was in reasonable condition until about 12 years ago when vandals set it alight and
although the fire brigade attended, they would not use the water in their appliance as no life was threatened and the wooden floor to the 1st storey was burnt out along with the roof.
