Beijing meeting

Back in the capital and started the day with a meeting in this hotel, only because the offices they habitat are being renovated. This is a change from the 30 floor chrome and glass affairs of most hotels in China.

I am still slightly shocked going into public buildings where everyone is sitting around smoking.

Some of the customs here are quite difficult for westerners Yesterday a man sat in front of us on the bullet train and was disgustingly snorting and cleaning his throat (thankfully he got off at the first stop). They sneeze and cough without covering their mouths. However conversely the think we are disgusting blowing our noses on a tissue and pitting it back in our pocket. Given the pollution levels here and my constant bunged -upness, I have probably offended many people.... Oops
