Art Ahoy!

The Mansfield Park Gallery in the Hyndland area of Glasgow is a haven of fine art - all selected by its artist owner, Victoria Cassidy.
Recently Vicki moved the gallery from its old premises in the Mansfield Park area of the west end to a more prominent site with a higher footfall on Hyndland Road. A great move as it means more people get to see the work she has in the gallery, which is all by contemporary Scottish artists.
Vicki has a fine eye and there's always a discovery to be made as well as old favourites to ogle. She stocks Willie Rodger linoprints. If you've never seen a Willie Rodger - check them out. A joy to behold and hold!
I hadn't been into the new gallery but was meeting a friend in Hyndland so jumped in for a look.
My Blip-pic was a toss-up between this quirky driftwood sculpture, called Ahoy, by Shaun McLaren, or a large banana Boat, made of ceramic life-sized bananas, called Up The Clyde, by Ian Ramsay.
Both equally fab, but this photographed better.
'I didn't come up the Clyde on a banana boat', was one of my late mum's favourite phrases - usually when my brother and I were trying to pull the wool over her eyes about something...
I'd love a wee driftwood sculpture by Shaun (hint hint... will need to wave this past social media-shy husband...)
