Happy Thanksgiving! We are so thankful we got to go home today so we could have all our babies together at home.
Mom and baby both were cleared to leave this morning so we left the hospital around 11am. On our way out of the hospital we got stopped by everyone--apparently people love twins! Especially adorable twin girls like Hadley and Emma.
Mitch and I got ourselves settled before nana and grandpa Mikey brought Miles over. He was so excited to see his sisters again and Mitch and I were so impressed how well he did with them throughout the day. He helped mama with things (getting her water, etc) and helped mama while I fed them and overall was the sweetest big brother. He also wanted to do a family bedtime stories tonight with his sisters (reading curious George of course), but a little blowout changed that agenda.
Emma and Hadley were the most awake they've ever been this afternoon, just laying next to each other in their crib telling stories and checking out their new home. A sweet story from today- before we left the hospital Mitch was holding Hadley chatting with her and one of her coos sounding exactly like she said 'dada'
Hadley and Emma also got to meet Uncle Timmy and Auntie Beth (and cousin Henry) tonight as they are in town for the weekend.
While we didn't get to have our traditional holiday and spend a lot of time with all our families today, we had the best thanksgiving coming home and laying low (with a frozen pizza for dinner). We are so thankful to be our new little family of 5.
