And here is the Thanksgiving story according to Texmama..

Many moons ago, the pilgrim men sat down and said, " let us have a day when we sit in our recliners and watch football all day while the women folk cook a huge feast ... And then when we have eaten and are satisfied, we will watch more football while the women clean up the mess from cooking a huge feast." All agreed that this was an excellent idea and so Thanksgiving was born. The End!

...on a side note, Mr Tex came in the house the other day and said "where's mama" and little man replied, "in the kitchen where she always is." I rest my case.
