The Blue Heron

While the others enjoyed a cool swim in the river at the Las Terrazas Biosphere Reserve I wandered up stream a bit a found this blue heron which allowed me to photograph him. I felt like a real wild life photographer leaning against a tree and hardly daring to breath.

After that it was a steep climb up to the hilltop restaurant of Cafetal Buenavista which ended our 22 k cycle for the day and the holiday.

After lunch back in the coach for the ride to the old town of Havana for 2 nights.
